Welcome to our online home!

We are a Roman Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky, with a membership of approximately 530 families. Early pioneer Catholics in Lexington worshipped in their homes and in a log chapel until the first church, St. Peter’s, was built on Third Street in 1812. Popular missionary priest, Father Stephen Badin, was responsible for building the church. The site, with its own cemetery, was then on the outskirts of town.

With close to 200 years of history, we are excited about celebrating our bicentennial in 2012. This family of faith has been the sanctuary and source of guidance for thousands of God’s people. Members as well as newcomers have gathered to worship, learn, reach out in service, and be Christ for one another. You can read more about our history by choosing “Of Interest” and then clicking on “History”.

Our online interactive calendar offers up-to-date information on the parish schedule, and highlights upcoming special events. You may click on the links within the calendar for more details, directions, and other information.
