The formation of our young people at
St. Peter Church is solidly built on
the document, "Renewing the Vision:
A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry,"
that was promulgated by the United States
Catholic Conference in 1997. This document
set out three goals for ministry with
adolescents:
- to
empower our young people to live as
disciples of Jesus Christ in our world
today;
- to
draw young people to responsible participation
in the life, mission, and work of
the Catholic faith community; and
- to
foster the total personal and spiritual
growth of each young person.
Ministry
with young people utilizes each of the
Church's ministries: advocacy, catechesis,
community life, evangelization, justice
and service, leadership development,
pastoral care, and prayer and worship.
As such, a variety of programs, events,
and outreach opportunities are offered
for youth in middle school and high
school. These include, but are not limited
to:

morning Faith Formation classes
