Fr. John directs the pastoral care of the parish. Working collaboratively with the Pastoral Associate and other staff, his primary role is to provide for the sacramental and spiritual life of the parish.

 

 

 

 

Bill Wakefield

Diaconal ministry includes word, liturgy, and charity. The deacon assists in pastoral life with sacramental preparations, including RCIA and marriage, as well as presiding and assisting with weddings, baptisms, funerals, and communal prayer services. His ministry is most visible in his role to proclaim the Gospel and to service at the altar. Bill is also the Secretary for Stewardship which includes being the Diocesan Chief Financial Officer along with the Director for Appalachian Missions. As Director for ther Appalachian missions, he assists parishes, schools, and outreach in serving the poor and marginalized of this region.

 

 

 

Pam McCoy Berger
Pastoral Associate
Director of Faith Formation

Pam works in collaboration with the pastor to provide pastoral care for the people of St. Peter Parish.

In addition, she oversees all of the formation programs, including Sunday morning Faith Formation classes (pre-school through adult); sacramental preparation classes; R.C.I.A.; adult formation offerings, and service learning opportunities. Pam directs our Youth Ministry and plans liturgies involving the Sacraments of Initiation.

 
 
 

Geoffrey Hershberger

Geoff works collaboratively with the Pastoral Staff in planning music for the liturgy. He directs the adult choir, Fish Scales ( our contemporary ensemble), and coordinates cantors. In addition, he serves as the parish's pianist and organist. He is available to plan and coordinate music for weddings at the church.

 

 

 

 
 
   

Jerry Ann Hayes

Jerry Ann is accountable for the business aspects of the parish, including contribution processing and paying bills. She is the person to contact if you are planning a wedding at St. Peter Parish.

 

 

 

Robert Gates
Maintenance Manager

Robert is responsible for the preventive care and upkeep of our parish facilities. He also coordinates repairs and scheduled maintenance with outside vendors.

 

 

 

 

Beverly Jones
Parish Secretary

Father Theodore Keller

Fr. Keller has a long history with St. Peter Parish. He was baptized at the parish in 1924, attended grade school at St. Peter School, received First Communion here, and was ordained a priest at the parish in 1946.

He, along with long-time parishioner Agnes Wilford, remember when the current church building was dedicated.
