We at Saint Peter Parish of the Diocese
of Lexington are a community of Catholic
Christians committed to being the presence
of Jesus Christ in this section of His
vineyard. Under the leadership of our
Pastor and the Bishop of Lexington,
we strive to build a faith community
that will worship together, support
Christian education on every level,
and serve the needs of those in the
community.
We
recognize that it is the Holy Spirit
Who is "Building up the Body of
Christ" as we work to grow in our
community and live out our commitment
to the Gospel.
Through
our parish committees, we seek to identify
and serve those in need, particularly
the poor, elderly, sick, and distressed
in our midst.

We
are a Catholic congregation who invigorates
life-relevant ministries with vibrant
outreach to the diverse peoples of Lexington.
Worship is the rock upon which are built
habits of lifelong faith, reverence
for life, and Christian service. Our
presence in downtown Lexington heralds
the presence of Jesus Christ through
the beacon of our architecture, our
gathering for Eucharist, and our hospitality
rooted in service to those in need.

Saint
Peter Parish's core values define our
guiding principles which anchor our
activities, decisions, and resource
allocations.
Reverence:
Inspired by our worhip space and Saint
Peter, our Patron saint, we are
committed to evangelizing the Gospel
of Jesus Christ by word and action rooted
in the traditions and magisterium of
the Catholic Church.
Spiritual
Formation: Commissioned by Christ, we
encourage discipleship and stewardship
in people of all ages through vibrant
participation in Catholic education,
sacramental
preparation and celebration, and
lifelong faith
formation.
Human
Dignity: Loving neighbor as self begins
with valuing life, born and unborn;
our preferences and priorities favor
those in need of spiritual and physical
care through spiritual and corporal
works of mercy.
Hospitality:
Embracing solidarity among the faithful
and enriched by our multi-generational
community, we openly and enthusiastically
welcome all who seek the Way, the Truth,
and the Life.
