newsletter Vol 1, no A Message from the Director May
God’s peace be prevalent in your lives this fall. This is the first of what
I hope to be a regular newsletter to the parents of the children enrolled in
the St. Peter Parish Faith Formation Program (PFFP). I want to take this
opportunity to tell you how delighted I am that you have entrusted your
children’s faith formation to this parish program and to remind you that the
parish program is secondary to what you yourselves provide at home on a daily
basis. I am heartened by the increase in enrollment this year – a 25%
increase to be exact. I feel exceedingly blessed that I have an outstanding
team of catechists who are well-versed in the Catholic faith and who bring
much love, joy, creativity and enthusiasm to this ministry. Please know that
if ever you have a question or concern, I am always available – don’t
hesitate to contact me by phone at (859) 381-9233 or e-mail PMcBerger@aol.com.
May we all grow in faith and love and hope this year!

In an ongoing
effort to keep our children as safe as possible, the United States Catholic
Bishops and our own bishop, Ronald Gainer, have mandated a program whereby
these children will be instructed with regards to keeping themselves safe.
Three units will be taught each year in grades 1 through 12. These units are
just 10 minutes in length and will be incorporated into the Sunday morning
curriculum. A lesson for the parents to carry out with their children is
included and will be given in this newsletter – please see the reverse side
for the fall lesson. And read more about the program in the enclosed letter. Parent Survey
